We had the pleasure of hosting, author and lecturer, David Groen who shared the remarkable story of his uncle, Bram Rodrigues, and the incredible journey of his violin. More than 75 years after Bram’s tragic murder in Auschwitz, this violin was miraculously returned to the family, becoming a powerful symbol of resilience, love, and remembrance. David’s heartfelt storytelling brought this history to life, weaving together themes of courage, connection, and the sacred duty to preserve such legacies.
The evening reached new heights with the breathtaking performance by Dr. Steffen Zeichner on Bram’s violin. His artistry was profoundly moving, as though the violin itself had a voice, adding an emotional depth that resonated with everyone present.
We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees describing the event as one of the most meaningful programs they’ve ever experienced.
